Andrey Sokurec is a native of Belarus, formerly of the U.S.S.R. He obtained a degree in Finance and Banking at Belarus Economic University where he won a full scholarship and graduated with honors. After college, he landed a position underwriting commercial loans for a large Belarus bank. He left that job to come to America, believing it to be the best place to realize his dreams. By day he worked as a manual laborer, and by night he read books on business success. He purchased his first investment property in 2005 and has completed over $40 million in Real Estate transactions since then, building up a large portfolio of houses. Andrey is a big believer in continuing education. He has learned firsthand from experts like Jack Canfield, author of “Chicken Soup for the Soul,” Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” and Harvey Mackay, Author of “Swim with the Sharks.” He has become a recognized authority in Real Estate as the founder of Midwest Real Estate Investment Association, as host of the TV Show “The Real Deal in Real Estate,” and as a frequent guest presenter at investment summits and training seminars. He co-founded Homestead Road to integrate the entire process of buying homes, restoring them to marketability, and “homesteading” families. He lives with his wife and two children in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Alex Delendik is a co-founder of Homestead Road where he oversees Operations including buying houses, restoring them, and homesteading new occupants. He is a native of Belarus, formerly of the U.S.S.R. Aspiring to a career in international business, he studied engineering and economics, then worked in risk management for an Austrian bank. He came to the U.S. to expand his horizons, eventually leveraging his educational and banking background to partner with Andrey Sokurec in launching Homestead Road.
Lance Nelson is the Vice President of Marketing for Homestead Road. He has a Master’s Degree in marketing and has headed up marketing departments in 3 Fortune 500 companies. He has also worked for a number of large and small advertising agencies as a Marketing Director, Creative Director, Vice President and President. He lives with his wife Lynn and 5 Bernese Mountain Dogs, one of whom is named after Minnesota Twins “Morneau.”
Peter Hagen is a licensed realtor with decades of experience. At Homestead Road he heads up the function of buying houses and later selling them after they are restored and ready for future families. He has a degree in secondary education but gravitated toward Real Estate soon after graduation. He has specialized in the investment end of Real Estate for the past 15 years. In this capacity he has become an expert in assessing the value of houses if sold “as is” or “after restoration.”
Jeff Martinson is an acquisition manager with extensive experience in all phases of buying, fixing up, and reselling residential properties. He has been a licensed realtor since 2003 and a real estate broker and licensed contractor since 2005. He can build a house from scratch on an empty lot or remodel an existing house. With this kind of extensive experience, Jeff can quickly assess the options of selling a house “as is,” or investing time and money into fixing up the house to get a better price.
Dyan Nielsen has traversed the real estate industry as a mortgage loan officer, real estate agent, investor, and as a teacher to real estate career aspirants. In her spare time she shows quarter horses. Dyan is a creative problem solver who can always find a way to get the job done where everybody wins.
Eugene Volovik acquired his real estate knowledge and experience as a Mortgage Loan officer where he became well versed in creative financing for residential home ownership. Eugene was born and raised in Ukraine and came to the U.S. with his parents at the age of 14. After studying International Business Management at Winona State, he embarked on a 15 year career helping families find a way to sell a home, or own one. His career history is a great fit with the mission of Homestead Road.
Fonda is a firmly grounded farm girl from Sioux Center, Iowa. And while she has fulfilled a 40 year career as a registered nurse, she has always been bitten by the real estate bug. The 2008 crash propelled her to take the plunge, buying duplexes, triplexes, and single family homes. She came to Homestead Road through one of our outreach seminars and is now a full fledged Acquisition Manager.
Olga Alan is licensed realtor with Midwest Homes. At Homestead road she is a house acquisition professional specializing in working with our investors and rental properties. She was born and raised in Moscow, Russia, where she obtained Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Financial Management from Moscow University. After 15 years in the Real Estate business in Moscow, she came to America in 2010 seeking a better life and freedom for herself and her two children. After 2 years managing apartment buildings she signed onto the mission of Homestead Road.
Vadim Bondarenko served in the Russian Marines before taking a job in the Russian oil fields as an electrician where he worked his way up to a Manager position. Vadim earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a degree in Computer Science. He came to the U.S. to work in his uncle’s construction company and has held a wide range of positions in every facet of construction.
Hiedi Priebe is a Disposition Manager responsible for selling the homes that Homestead Road restores. Her efforts are focused on both the residential and investor/builder markets to which she brings extensive experience. She began her career in 2001 as a licensed realtor with Coldwell Banker where she was named Rookie of the Year. Heidi joined Homestead Road in 2012 and after career building experiences with other real estate companies rejoins us in 2017.
Babs Hetzler is Homestead Road’s Transaction Coordinator for all purchases and sales and also heads up the “Wow Department” whose purpose is to do whatever it takes deliver a “wow” experience to home sellers at every step in the process. She has 27 years under her belt working in the Real Estate industry, from marketing upper bracket homes to processing foreclosures nationwide. Away from the office, you can find B abs leading fitness classes, snowmobiling, golfing, or on her pontoon boat with her husband.
Julia brings a wide range of experience to her responsibilities as Outreach Manager. Her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the State University of Moldova is put to good use in managing Homestead Road’s outreach programs. She coordinates the communications and events for the Midwest Real Estate Investors Association, the Apprentice Investors Programs, and The Circle, a real estate brain trust.
Elena heads up accounting at Homestead Road. She came to America in 2016 from St. Petersburg, Russia. She is a true “numbers person,” having studied electronics, software development, business administration and economics. She has written software, coordinated technical sales, and headed up accounting for a retail company. She and her husband have settled in Maple Grove, Minnesota with their two boy ages 3 and 10.
